Dan Diego 40 Posted August 19, 2016 I'm having some ankle surgery done on Tuesday and will be out of commission for a while. My doc has insisted that I keep all weight off of my ankle for about 90 days. Am looking at the knee scooters to get around. Who has used one and what do you recommend? Do I need an all terrain version? Are there any particular models to stay away from? The basket is a must, for alcohol-related items, though the little "ding ding" is optional... RJ at AA KTM can get me an orange one plated for only $3500, so that's a possibility.... Thanks in advance. The (soon to be) Gimp

Mikey777 44 Posted August 19, 2016 One of the girls in our office has a daughter who had major foot surgery. Same deal as you...no pressure on the foot for 3 months. She was in a wheelchair initially and then transitioned to a knee scooter after a couple weeks. Made a world of difference for her mentality. I think you should mount a dune flag on it. Dan Diego 40 Posted August 19, 2016 Lots of good ideas here, knew I could depend on this group for help. Dune flag: Check. Motor: Check (4 stroke; don't wanna disturb the neighbors with early morning 2-stroke BRAP! And the blue smoke in the house with bother my dogs.) Tires and oil: That will be an entitrely different thread. Basket, cup-holder and bell: Check, check, check. You'll hear me ding-dinging at MotoWorld and All American KTM soon. All that's left is the doohickey mod, new grips and some aftermarket illumination and I'm good to go. Calling PMB: Will need help with the ABS and GPS install, too. Dammit! I'm $4k into this project and I haven't even bought it yet! Thanks, fellas...
