Covered in Dust 163 Posted September 2, 2015 Well I'm back from Africa where I climbed Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. This was by far the hardest physical thing I've ever done in my life. Think going to Glamis and finding the steepest sand dune there and climbing up it for 7 hours in 0 degree weather with 30 MPH winds and less than 1/2 the oxygen of sea level. Oh and you start at 4 in the morning in pitch dark. All after hiking for 4 days just to get to base camp. Glad I can say I did it but won't be signing up for a return trip anytime soon. This is a picture from about 18K feet. In the lower right you can just make out the base camp. I'm in the middle with 2 guides on either side of me. But look who I found when I got to the top. I should have known that the Kug's been everywhere. Covered in Exhaustion
robertaccio 412 Posted September 2, 2015 you guys are epic--The Kug on Kilamanjaro that climb would have been better on a fuel injected 450!!!! Or a Slavens custom KTM300XC mountain mule!!

Covered in Dust 163 Posted September 2, 2015 Lack of oxygen does bad things to your judgement. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to get a picture with my shirt off in 0 degree weather. Now all I needed to do was go back down this.
