Riggerdan 147 Posted April 15, 2015 Sorry to hear about the CID photo embargo. Do we need to make banners and march or what? Banners are printing as we speak, march set up on the corner of single track & uphill - all advised to attend

Bagstr 287 Posted April 16, 2015 " Each trail had it's demanding moments" Let's hear more of the challenges, please. The story looks like a lark! "Cool", when the Dream evolves into the reality. I find two days later it is hard to tell the difference.

Bagstr 287 Posted April 17, 2015 Rare Moment of CID standing on bike. As this rate he will have his ADV Pin in no time! I think Rigger is Passionate about riding "Meditation and Life Reflection" Indeed, we can all use more along those lines.

Dave I don't want to scare anyone away from future rides... As you know theres a sense of balance out there, "you must endure the difficult component to truly appreciate the experience & beauty" Then you head out to reflect........... Goofy Footer 539 Posted April 17, 2015 Thanks for sharing the pics Rigger. I couldn't get my shifts covered so wasn't able to make this ride but I'm really interested in getting back down there asap for some coastal cliff/bluff and beach riding. btw the big hill outside San Quintin can be seen in some of the Baja Beach Bash videos! I'll try to find it on film. I'd love to talk routes and loop ideas sometime.. I've mapped out a few routes heading south west of Mikes/Meling to the coast. Did you take the Observatory road east before dropping south (right) then west on dirt towards Vincente Guerro? Do you have a waypoint for that firetower south of Ramona's/Sawmill? Covered in Dust 163 Posted April 24, 2015 I've decided to post a few pics from the ride. The boys coming down the Goat Trail before Valle T I'm not sure if there is anything better than riding in a field of grass (except maybe the beach or nice single track). At this point most of us were pretty tired. I like doing 180 miles or so to Mikes then stopping for the night. Not Rigger when we got to Mikes we turned left and did another 30 miles or so of some pretty tough trail. These were trails that are impassable in a Jeep or Quad and would be a real challenge on bigger bikes. Riggers line for most of the ride was "just 10 more miles". He said this often. The ride was hard but we got to see great things almost all the time. There something that wild horses and guys on off road bikes have in common. Nice mellow night at the Meling Ranch. That's all you get because they close the refrigerator that serves as the bar at 8. This was fine with us because we were all pretty tired. The next day saw more great riding. Dan having a little fun on his 500 Time for a little rest. After a night that I don't remember much of what better way to shake off the cob webs than a little beach single track in the morning. Picked up and moved this guy off the road so he wouldn't get run over. Rigger photo bomb Nice views from the top of the volcano. Then we were rewarded with miles and miles of beach riding. Kent giving his approval. A nice stop for some taco's. This is what it's like almost all the time when you ride with Rigger. Then back to the beach. Stopped to help this guy off the road on the way to Valle T (didn't pick him up). After a quiet night at Mikes, Rigger had a few more surprises for us. I've been to Mike's probably a hundred times but had never taken the Simpson trail out the back way to Valle T. It really gets the blood flowing in the morning. A quick ride mostly on the trail brought us back to the Saw Mill for some taco's and a little gas. Thanks to Dan for showing us his playground and to Tracy, Kent and V-Dog for a great ride.
