Crawdaddy 96 Posted February 3, 2019 Emotional roller coaster morning.....tears were shed along with some belly laugh moments reminiscing about Mexico/stateside good times & rides with Arnie Fry. Thank you Christie, Jason, Todd, & Clint. I’ll take good care of the 950 Super Enduro and I know Arnie will be right there with me wherever I roll. 😇👍

That's correct.........I was pondering a 690 (dirt bike to get you to street) or 790 (spendy/new street bike to get you to dirt)........this bike isn't fancy but should fit the bill nicely.........no ABS, Ride-by-Wire, fuel injection, etc., etc..........but I don't care.......it's a ~410lb. (dry) 950cc twin.......light enough to handle off road and porky/smooth enough to carry gear/transport me on some trips with long transit sections...... The Cure for Common Sense.......ha!
Crawdaddy 96 Posted February 4, 2019 Arnie took care of all the “must do’s” Upgraded skid plate Side stand relocated HDB hand guards Scott’s Dampener GPS mount Akrapovic 2-1 exhaust Aux fuel tank where left exhaust was located (extra 1.5 gallon) Voltage regulator relocation ( to avoid over heating) Rear Fender eliminator Dr Beans fuel pump mod (better reliability) Wolfman racks/soft luggage Jason put a new battery in it before I came over Sat morning and we were able to get it to start........that said, it wouldn't stop "popping"......assuming the carbs are a mess.......it's on a stand in my garage now........I was out there fiddling around yesterday while some folks were watching some game?!?!........ I'll be cleaning the carbs, checking valves, installing new plugs, changing oil, etc., etc.......some basic TLC...... I ordered a new set of GoldenTyre GT723 Rally/Adventure tires (stooooped expensive but thought I'd give'em a try just for the heck of it.........I like the Golden Fatty front on my 500), Bridgestone UHDs, and a Seat Concepts seat..... A friend is tapping the bar clamp to mount my GPS.......did that on my 500 and I'm really happy it I'll likely roll the bars forward a tad...... Luckily it appears Arnie must have had George at Suspension 101 work in the internals of the rear shock because the bike is lower than it's scary stock height (thankfully)........already reached out to George to get things sorted/realigned once the bike is up and running again.......need to set sag and springs for my weight....... Hope to be "ride ready" by the end of the month.......
Bp619 104 Posted February 4, 2019 Seems like a well sorted bike and yes george did do the forks and shock i remember the bike in his "shop" and couple months later he did my 950se exact specs as arnies. I bet just carb needs cleaning, also i had to balance the carbs on mine, made a diy vacuum tester with vacuum hose and mason jars worked great, ran alot smoother after
Covered in Dust 163 Posted February 4, 2019 When my 950se sat for any length of time the carbs would gum up. I started putting Sea Foam in the gas if I thought I wouldn’t be riding it for awhile.

Good point on balancing the carbs - Todd Whiteside (not sure what his handle is on SDAR?) is coming by and has a tool to balance the carbs.....Todd is just one of maybe 5(?) local guys that Arnie talked into buying a 950SE
