downs 1 Posted April 11, 2016 The Calsite mine was owned by Polaroid at one point in time IIRC. Later was used by the US Gov to make bomb sites during WWII. This is basically going off of memory from the last time I was out there in the Jeep. I could be off on those.

Ken S 164 Posted April 12, 2016 After wearing out several GT 216's I'm run the Golde tire Desert Tone now. I have about 30 hours including 2 desert races and no sign of chunking like the 216 does. Same tread and width with a harder rubber and stiffer side wall. I run lower pressure (12psi) than the 216. I believe it's GT 211 Desert Tone. eBay approx 120 shipped. wildwood 11 Posted April 13, 2016 That's a really cool shot of the leading edge of the flood. We were in Ocotillo on Friday and a downpour around Painted Gorge Rd. caused this.

spdnjoe 0 Posted April 14, 2016 We were out there on Saturday on my XR650R and my buddy on a Husky. San Felipe Wash still had plenty of water and mud. Traction throughout Borrego all the way down to Salton Sea for lunch was awesome !
