Big Sur Ride This Weekend

Recommended Posts

I am leaving Friday afternoon, and heading up the coast, It can be street bike or adventure bike. I plan on camping the whole way. Morro Bay day one, Day two redwoods past Santa Cruz, Day three the one home. If you think you can go let me know. Easy time, The Big Sur views will be at their best because no fog and 70s for the whole weekend. The weekend should cost no more that $150 with gas and camping.

I have the itch to get out and see the cost.

Confirmed camp site at San Simeon SP on the beach, not bad

Good choice! Stop and have BBQ Oysters in Tomales Bay.

One of my all-time favorite meals.

[edit: oops- not going that far. Nevermind]

BTW: I prefer the riding up the center of California- google Peach Tree and Indian Valley roads. Also Cerro Noroeste.

If you've never been, that area has my highest recommendation. Then proceed up the coast from there.

This is the top secret Fish house tip for Monterey: Monterey's Fish House, Del Monte Ave, Monterey. It looks like a hole in the wall, but the food is the fines and best.

Have fun Dan. Looks like the weather is going to agree with you on this trip :)

No more rain crap like we came home in from Yuma when we got to the Laguna Mt.

You are all right. The real truth is that Kathy had a root canal and so did I. Kathy on Tuesday and I had one today, so a nice dinner is not until next week. Plus I got the flowers and a card to give to her tomorrow night while we enjoy soup because neither of us can chew. Have a bottle of her favorite wine being delivered Saturday while I am away. So I am not the dirt bag you thought. She is the perfect wife, she has stuck with me for 30 yrs come this May.
