Playing Mind Games has me looking at City Bikes. What's your experience with these 60's bikes as local drivers?

my next door neighbor has a pristine mid 60s something or other (Honda)... I asked him a similar question for a run-about for the Alpine area:

mild power, ok weight, crappy brakes and suspension, nice riding position... and forget running it on the East county Interstate

Too new - that's modern iron...I used to tool around Ramona on one of these until a couple years ago when I sold it to Nascar driver Sam Hornish Jr

1951 BSA ZB34 Competition Alloy 500cc Gold Star although this is a picture of the steel fendered version

Leaked so much oil I never needed to change it and the magneto system eliminated the need for a battery! Kick her and go!

And no I didn't buy it new.... :)

Royal Enfield?

Still in production, classic looks with all the modern conveniences.

Really good call, saw them in Long Beach and liked what they offer.

$70 , Money Talks.

BS, Tell your neighbor that is a clean machine. K1, 1968-69? Also, what does he think the market $$ is for similar.

Thanks :shiftyeyes_anim:

I've seen some guys ripping around Kearny Mesa on these:

After tinkering (and tinkering) around with some carbs on older bikes, I'd much prefer the Grom's fuel injection especially if it's a bike that is not often ridden. Clearly it's quite a different vintage & theme than the ones you posted above and admittedly lacks that classic style.

I used to ride a 1974 Honda CL360, it had six speed transmission, electric and kick start and would do ok on the freeway. I thought it was a good looking machine as well.

Adventure Style! (this pic is from a Japanese motorcycle expo, they always come up with the most trick aftermarket stuff)

Beach Style, this should help with sales..

Once upon a time I had a Suzuki RV90. Talk about a wild head turner, especially being a 2 stroke.

Bagstr, what about a CB350? Very popular with the street tracker crowd. Dare I say Ural for trips with the family? I've been in a vintage sidecar before, it's a pretty fun ride!

Cristina likes this one, but I wish we had a CRF 250L on my Moto Jack, hanging from the car.

Just like the Grom but even more fun to ride all over Solvang and Santa Inez this weekend.

You could even ride Vista on this.

It gets 73 MPG.

I am not against new bikes. Simple design is what stimulates my interest. C Daddy's VStom is interesting for example. $4k for a Restored Classic or $6.5k for new??
