kato 53 Posted November 11, 2013 And here is my small pictures contribution of this awesome weekend. Our group on day 1 (single track galore), only pic I took that day: Day 2 now, on top of the sneaky stay-on-the-riiiight hill climb: CDaddy made sure we were surrounded by awesomeness all day: Jason's busted clutch case: not a bad place to wait for the quicksteel to harden (that little step-up in the background is our trail): Jason, Matt, and Jon @ Woodie's plaque: The Rotaxerie Machine made it up to Woodies too: Thanks again and again Mr Crawdaddy, another weekend to remember! hodnettjj 0 Posted November 11, 2013 Thanks again to Crawdaddy and crew... Day one for me was Thursday... I got to spend the day hanging out at the AVI Casino. While waiting on everyone to arrive I watched Capt Phillips and Bad Grandpa at the AVI Theater. Relaxing day before the ride... Friday... We got a start at Fire House Coffee. Quick breakfast and coffee... Many tracks through NV and AZ. Brief stop for a tube change... Day 1 Riding ended at the river... Great ending to the day... . Dinner was at theMojave Steakhouse. A bit pricey...but tasty... Day 2 was a ride to breakfast at the Oatman Saloon. The ride there proved to be much for my battery. Luckily I had jumper cables and 4 other batteries... 3 riders continued... I turned back with Rich... for the easy out to breakfast. That battery charged on the way to breakfast and the morning was salvaged. I had a bit of a run in with the earth... Thanks to Quick Steel and assistance from Avacado and the crew this was a brief stop with no oil loss... View from Woody's... View from the overlook... Another great weekend of riding... Thanks to everyone for coming out... thanks to Crawdaddy for hosting...

FuzzyNugs 0 Posted November 12, 2013 Fun fun, that looks like some amazing desert scenery you guys went through and a great turnout. Good job fixing the case too. Must have been the perfect rock to get between your case saver and skid plate.
Avocado 0 Posted November 12, 2013 Crawdaddy put together a some great riding for us... Thank you Chris that was a blast Day One - Woke up Friday morning to a cool 45 air temp Chris wasted no time getting everyones gps loaded and we headed out West in CA desert. Took a few miles to get out town and we jumped into half a days worth of single track. Everything from fast flowing to slow and technical. Excellent stuff. Made a quick lunch stop at Searchlight NV for gas and food. From there headed east toward toward Lake Mohave. Shortly after I decided I needed some practice changing front tire tubes. Wrap that up and made a well deserved drink stop along the Colorado River Day One in the books, the majority of us had dinner at the AVI and then crashed out. Day two, we started off a little slower and didn't get out of town until after 8. Chris, without bike, still mananged to be the excellent host he is and parked his truck at all the easily missed turns on the way to Oatman. We all had fun with a "Wrinkle" Chris threw at us. A 40 yard up a hill directly out of a very slow right hand corner. Unfortunately, Jason's bike battery decided to die in a bad section. Rich helped him out to the road and up to Oatman. Kato doing work After a few more "Wrinkles" we made it to Oatman and breakfast. Cool old Indian motorcycle engine Finished up breakfast and we were off again down a wash with lots of obstacles, brush, trees, and large rocks. Then made a hard right into another wash which still had water throughout. Again Chris was there in the middle of nowhere to insure we were on the correct trail. Cool wash, but lots of slippery corners - sand and wet rock. Jason's DRZ decided to take a nap and poked a hole in the stator cover. We made quick work of it, enjoyed the break and off again. Worked our way through the wash and up to Woody's Worked our way out of the hills and into Golden Valley - Quick stop for fuel and off again Ran a cool old forgotten road out of town and again up into the hills. Once up in the hills there was lots of livestock Jason got up and personel Pass a bunch of mules in the hills Pass a compound in the Middle of Nowhere Made our way to the a ridge over looking Lake Mohave- 4000' up and beautiful Shadows were getting long and we know we were going to be coming in at night if we didn't get to it. Rich lead our group the whole day and did a great job navagating. We rolled into the AVI 15 minutes after sundown! Awesome trip with great people. Thanks again all
