Weather permitting, considering an early evening into a full moon night ride - Friday night Dec 28

definitely big bike and noob friendly, easily paced for all to enjoy the moons energy

would consider a bike camp integration if anyone is interested...

route still TBD

favoring the Lagunas / Pine Valley area.....

Disclaimer: I do not have any special lighting for my bike or helmet......bigeyed.png

OK

so maybe I had some fuzzy socks on and a few oak logs in the stove sipping my warm coffee, as I was dreaming of riding my bike in the moonlight.......

maybe its the northeast in me that feels the need to explore, on these beautiful San Diego winter nights

and to think I was posting on an ADVENTURE site.................smile.gif

A match made in heaven, Dan and Paul.

Have a good ride, followed by a Hot Spiced Cider by the fire.

:torch: I'll save the full moon rides for the warm days of Summer, and sit home with a fire on the cold winter nights. I'm girlie that way

Is this still happening? The forecast calls for rain today and then clearing up. High of 57° on Friday and a low of 46° on Friday night.

My back has not been cooperating with me lately, it's kept me off the bike for the last week & 1/2 - seems like a lifetime......

running at a disappointing 65% - weather I assume is prolonging the recovery

as much as I like to ride / camp especially with a FULL MOON

not sure it would be as enjoyable as I would like

Looking to make a full recovery ASAP

thanks for your interest

we have 12 more coming up in 2013

After looking at the 10 Day Forecast in Bullhead any thoughts of a solo Full Moon ride are off my radar

The Slutty One has it right :smile_anim: ......Full Moon rides are for warmer temps ;)

The Big Bear Trail Riders host an annual "Moonlight Madness" ride every August....this year's event is slated for August 3rd........(but I strongly advise you to be with CORE in Mammoth Lakes on August 1st - 4th : http://crawdadoffroadevents.com/core-calendar/view/89 :coolio: )

In other parts of the country, guys ride snowmobiles when it's minus 20°. It's not that big a deal. They wear warm clothes. All you really need when it's plus 40° is a warm jacket. You can leave your ski pants at home.

Anyway, I think I'll do a couple loops locally in the South Bay on Saturday. If anyone's interested in joining me, let me know.

There's a little trail near Corral Canyon that I always thought would be fun to ride at night.

If anybody is still interested in a night trip, let's do it.
