dsfox 0 Posted October 8, 2012 With a group of 9 riders, we enjoyed Camping and Riding in the Mojave National Preserve and sections of the Historic Mojave Road this weekend.. THANKS to capncham, maniac, dr J, jacqui, hodnettj, goofy footer, calnub, and bboyle9 for coming out to share Opening weekend of Desert Season 2012-2013...This is one of my favorite riding areas.. weather was great except for the knarly high winds that came in each night from midnight til 4 am..I felt bad for the guys sleeping outside....thought we might be missing some riders each morning!!! Highlights were the Riding of course, the company and laughs with old and new friends, the burning of my 2011 Christmas tree during the celebration for maniac's birthday.......and the return to my bike with a fresh top end.... THE High Desert was amazingly green, and there were "flocks" of butterflies all over... Great Trip to Start the Fall Season... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Goofy Footer 539 Posted October 8, 2012 #1 Thank You Deb for organizing such a great ride and thanks for loaning your trusty KLX to bboyle9. It was a fantastic time and I'm glad to have been there. I just got home and have to unpack so I'll post a larger report later but I wanted to share this one pic of bboyle9 taking the deepest sand nap I've ever seen.
