I love that big light on the front. Is it a solotek from baja designs? Been thinkin of doing the same to my xr. Sweet setup.

What sort of electrical mods does a DRZ need to power that hungry light?

No mods at all. When we ordered the lights from Baja Designs(I got one for my drz too) they ask you what kind of bike they're for and if there's been any mods to the stator. Then they determine which bulb to put in. They say the DRZ will power a 100w bulb, so that is what is in it. So far it runs fine, so we'll have to wait and see if there's any long term issues.

Huh, DRZ must have a helluva charging system- 100watts is a lot.

Congrats, looks good

1 - Don't forget to pre-scratch... it will save you A GREAT DEAL of misery.

2 - That looks eerily like my DRZ, I am going to have to check the garage.

3 - That facelift was needed.

When do I get to see it in person? I am itching for a ride with you guys.

I thought about taking pictures and then kicking it over into some gravel but it's a dual sport and I expect it to get scratched up. I don't think I'll do much crying about it when it happens. It doesn't look anything like your DRZ; it's not encased in a mud shell. We'll get a ride in sometime. Mike works this coming weekend and we are in Big Bear the following weekend. After that we should be free. I'm hoping we get a few local one night camping trips in before it gets too cold.
