Beezzz 6 Posted March 16, 2010 Here are some photos from the Otay Mt. with river crossing. Notice no bike in fifth photo. Where is my bike? The bike is crawdad fishing. Many bikes where extra thirsty and hungry that day.

RogerTOWM 0 Posted March 16, 2010 Thanks to all of you for the great photos and videos of this ride and stream crossing. As an armchair rider this is the only way I can enjoy the ride with you.
LucidMayhem 0 Posted March 16, 2010 Even with the casualty, I wish I could have made it. I ended up going up to Barina Oaks with my daughter and getting her motivated to ride in the pee-wee races! Maybe next time. We'll have to get another big ride like this before I get deployed.
paulmbowers 236 Posted March 16, 2010 I think even Tom would agree it was a great and n00b friendly ride. And he went down on a fairly easy area. Everybody made it through the [swollen] crossing and continued on with the ride.
starpal2 0 Posted March 17, 2010 ok update: my dad is still in the hospital because he was unwilling/unable to get off the morphine completely plus he could use another night there. in the end he had basically shattered the ball end of his humerus into three big pieces and a few small ones as well as breaking the bone a few inches lower. it is all screwed together in the ball and there is a plate to keep it all together with something like 27 screws. but he is feeling so much better and is in alot less pain. also he really enjoyed the ride and is kinda annoyed he fell like he did. bikeslut 1 Posted March 17, 2010 Starpal- pain is temporary...he will be an SDAR legend!! w00t! Glad he is coping-let us know when he is ready to get back on the horse, and we'll go back to Otay.
650hucker 0 Posted March 17, 2010 Did you tell him to breathe? But, OW. That explains all the pain he was showing...tough guy anyhow!
