Purty , just curiosity, do you keep the stock front end just in case you go back to stock someday?

So I'm hoping to go to Chico to pick up my rig 3rd week of July, with potential departure date of August 1st...I'm 2 months behind schedule, but it's all good.

Danrider is having a Sendoff get together for me at his house on July 31st, check that post in Open Discussion section...hope to see many of you there !

A buddy of mine bought my old 1150GS Adventure and is is turning it into a hack too.  Nothing as custom but cool nonetheless.

July 31 set aside for your send off.

Pretty cool Randy, what's your estimated range with all the extra gas you'll carry?

Spare gas will only be carried when needed...so 5 gals in tank plus an extra 4 gals = 9 x 30mpg worst case guess = 270 miles...if I get better mileage, longer range of course.

Man that's a nice beer cooler hanging off the back, you sure you won't need a bigger one. Looks awesome definitely high quality work. Are you gonna have luggage on bike or just on sidecar?

Jim, if you're up for it, you can do my professional photo for my front page of my blog, as we discussed before.

Call me, so we discuss when and where. Are you on your way getting the rig?

So I've been up in Chico, northern CA, for the last 2 days helping Chris Canterbury at Boxer Metal finish up my rig...I've had a chance to familiarize myself with the bike and sidecar rig...and also see how much thought, work, and attention to detail has gone into this project...WOW is all I can say, Chris is truly the artist-craftsman....as u may be able to tell in the photos....

Trick solar panel on top rear case, capable of charging laptop, bike battery, etc.

We should be ready to ride on Thursday !

Doc already got into the hack on his own.

Looks pretty sweet, is there enough head room for Doc?

That's why it slopes up towards the rear....front had to be lower to clear handlebars.
