Tecate-Ojos Negros-Ensenada-Wine Country-back to Tecate.

Recommended Posts

I was thinking park on the U.S. side, pay the 5 bucks for all day parking, ride through Tecate, take the 2D toll road east to El Hongo, take the El Compadre trail to Ojos Negros, take the 3 west to Ensenada, take the 1 north to the 3 north, ride through Valle de Guadalupe and cross back through Tecate. Would anyone be interested in a route like this? Open to suggestions.

Not too familiar with Baja, but that sounds like a lot of pavement, yeah?

What dates and yeah that's a lot of pavement more than 50% pavement more like 70. If your doing this route why not take compadre back or cut over and take laguna hanson up north.

similar to what they did on this ride report I'm sure someone did gps tracks from route.

Bp619, you beat me to the punch...that was a good ride. I have the tracks coming back up from Ojos thru Lagauna...gps turned off halfway down Compadre so the southbound tracks are not complete.

I would be interested depending on dates and with more dirt thrown in the mix.

That's even better. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm open on dates. Was hoping to get a few soon. When is a good day?

Better yet you can take single track 80% of the way.

Do you have tracks for the 80% single track?

And is this really technical "rocky" type single track, or is there a really good flow to it?

No tracks. It's very sporting with some mad flow.

Just did a similar ride a few weeks ago. Stayed at Puerto Nuevo. So nice on the Coast.
