Superstition again Sunday 1-18

Recommended Posts

Dunes, single and double track, Whoops, Mud hills. All in one place.

Sunday 8:30 near the info board on Wheeler Rd.

Paddle tire not required. Make sure your bike is in good running order first.

Moderate pace. Lots of breaks.

Good running order?

you mean like clean carb or cdi not blown?

or like a rear fender not about to desinigrate?

Definite maybe...

Ken... I may be a go for this ride. Just picked up a '12 500 EXC today and want to ride some open spaces to get the feel of it.

I found Wheeler Rd out by Plaster City via google maps but can you be more specific on where the "Info Board" is? Exit and other roads that take you to it?

The info board that I know of is well past the firing range and a few miles into Wheeler. It will be on your left just off the road as the road makes a visible right turn and starts heading towards Superstition

Not this sign but an actual board with maps, club info in a glass case

Sorry I cannot find an actual pic of the info board for some reason.

This one did come up though.. lol

In all seriousness, Superstition is an Awesome place to ride and you guys will have a blast out there.

Here is a video I made of Hodnettjj and myself a few years back

And here is a Goof Off video I made with bbolye9 too. Note the hardpack mini track that we're going around - good stuff!

After watching those videos, I miss that place. I need to ride there soon!

Blake wheeler Rd turn left-west. Its a wide dirt road. Head in probably 3 miles. It turns right towards the dunes. The is an info board with maps on it. Its the only sign around. I'll be there about 8:30. You know my jeep.

See you there .Kenny

You have my phone number. Verizon works down there if you cant find us.

Awesome time. 5 bikes Blake Ty Darren Jim and Myself. Some thrills and spills (not me today). Some stuck in the sand bikes. Got some awesome Go Pro footage once I figure out how to edit it.

I think they used that canyon for a couple of the Nat N&Hs that were run out there. It looks like a familiar cut. nice shot

You can see me up on the ridge throwing rocks down at ken....zoom in super tight.. top left, first photo.

In the last photo looks like ken found the biggest rock to ride over, testing out his suspension...nice.

Maybe that's where I blew out my fork seal.
