I was waiting for Ken to start a ride report but he's been busy with work and the Dana ride. So here is a little teaser pic from the ride.

11,789' Ophir Pass Colorado with Ken "The Kug" Kugal and Tracy King.

As last year the E mails went out and only us three could make it this year. The plan was to drive to Gallop NM .unload ride south then north into CO on the CDR. Then loop around and back to NM to Gallop.

We did that ,good weather, only two flats ( both at the same stop ) camped off the bikes three of the four nites, some closed mtn passes ( but we got around ) Some rain and sleet ( only for a few hours ) it was a good trip.

Stopped in Winslow

DynOmite!!

I concede, the trip did happen. Green is good. It is refreshing to know green exists outside the SoCal Dez.

CID's pack set-up is looking clean.... A GL plus one bag is hard to achieve on the trail. Sorry to not see Ol' Red on the trail.

Congratulations on Another Adventure,

Bagsr

Riggerdan,

What's your lame excuse for Not making the Adventure? Oh, wait, I am opening myself up here. Sorry to miss out as These Trips are terrific because:

A. The excitement of watching Kug play Ward Bond "Trail Boss".

B. Sundown Camp Searches

C. Sunrise warm-up coffee.

D. Riding over a rise to see the Whole world open before you.

My favorite was this part. The roads are rolly polly and in good shape. This area is west of Los Alamos and Espanola. Santa Fe Nat Forest. Realy need to go back and explore camp in this area.Unreal how green it was --almost too bright in some areas.

We were running late so we had to miss a good section of this part of the ride. We needed to get to a town to stock up on water ( :smile_anim::smile_anim::smile_anim: )

We camped out at Truijillo Meadows Res.( just North of Chama NM on the CO boarderline ) Huge campground but at one time a forest fire come threw so it was a bit sparse but it still had good views.

Evidently that is the eastern section of the "Burr" Trail. :shiftyeyes_anim:

New Mexico has some hidden gems, I agree. That plus the cultural influence of the Pueblo and Spanish (from Spain) people creates a unique world.

"We needed to get to a town to stock up on water ( :smile_anim: :smile_anim: :smile_anim: )";)

Looks beautiful. I think a lot of us need to quit making excuses and get out for a ride like this. It's good for your soul (or lack thereof).
