i just thought i would take a minute to remind myself, and anyone else who will listen, to be appreciative of what we have.
just the fact that we are here on a recreational motorcycle website means...we have dreams, a computer, a place to power it, and a way to connect.
most of us are here because we have a motorcycle that we use for recreation. which means we have enough liquid capital to buy and use a luxury item like a bike for pure sport not out of absolute neccesity as cheap transportation.
having family in chile and seeing and hearing of the destruction so soon after haiti has just made me realize most of are very fortunate.
the finacial crisis has caused alot of money problems for alot of people, even people here sdar and similar adventure sites. but there are worse things than having to hand back the keys to a car or house to the bank.
being here on sdar means dreaming...sharing ride reports of our recent dream ride, or reading reports and dreaming of going there...
i was just think we could probably all be more appreciative of what we do have....family,friends,faith, and fun....
keep dreaming----stay appreciative----dont forget others less fortunate :o

Every day I remind myself how much I have-

We are all lucky to have what we have- somebody did a post one time, along the lines of:

If you woke up with a roof over your head, you are better off than ----% of the world...if you had breakfast ----, etc.
another BS post

I am reminded of that every day.. I currently have 3 neighbors that are in jeopardy of loosing their homes on top of two that have already lost them.. We are indeed very fortunate.

Everything I have, my stuff, my income, everything is 100% reliant on the generosity of others. Yep, I'm very thankful indeed!

not cliche, it is great to think everyday about what we DO have and less about what we DONT.
