Two badly sprained ankles

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I can see that one taking someone down. Get well soon, I know the ankle injuries are painful.

Still waiting on KTMrads phone call. I called him earlier but had a bad connection. We'll get out there as soon as possible, though. The sooner the better.

Woo hoo, this is my 5000th post!

Kris- not to cheer you up or anything, but you DO know that a bad sprain (in my experience any way) is worse than a nice clean break, right?

I smashed my ankle badly one time in a freak surfing incident...dislocated, and broke a bone...serverely sprained due to the sublux (it was popped out for over an hour).

The sprain still hurts to this day...you can see where the borken bone sticks out (I...uh...removed the cast so I could go on a mountain biking vacation...bone didn't set right)...point is...the area that broke feels fine. The sprained side still hurts.

Don't discount the seriousness of your injury just because it is a sprain

Mimi/Rad...if you want to go pick it up tomorrow, I can make myself available to help out. Try to ride it out...bring some pulleys and some rope...whatever

Slut, I hope to go out Tuesday. Don't need rope or anything to get the bike out.......I'll ride it out to Split Mountain, then we'll load it on Mimi's jeep, if she can go tomorrow.

Great ride everyone. Thanks for the fun in the sun. Beautiful day, good group and good riding. The dust and heat are coming back to the desert. Get out there and ride, we've only got a few more weekends left!

Thanks to Randy and the sponsors for the ride!

Thanks for posting those photos D, I was trying to figure out what the terrain was like. It's easy to see how one could have a nasty spill at that climb. I hope her ankles heal up quick.

Sorry, my bad!

I thought the accident happened to the big air female MXer.

"It could be made into a monster, if we all pull together as a team...and by the way, which one's Pink?"

Well the swelling and stiffness have subsided considerably. I can move my ankles around pretty good but everything is still pretty sore and I think my heals are bruised pretty good.

Hello everyone

I went to a specialist this week and got some more x-rays. He told me my ankles were fine but I had two fractured heels.

He told me to stay off of them for six to eight weeks.
