Dan Diego 40 Posted April 21, 2014 On a related note, the entrance (or exit) at Alta Road in Otay now has a motorcycle access entry. This will make it easier to access that trail.
downs 1 Posted April 21, 2014 Motorcycle entry? I was just up there two weeks ago. It was just a big huge gate big enough to fit two semis though open.
Bubbagums 42 Posted April 21, 2014 The "motorcycle gate" is right next to the "no trespassing" sign...we pushed our bikes under the big gate only to see the open smaller "motorcycle gate". duh It would be good to know and observe the BP shift changing time as most of the BP vehicles come off of the mountain at the same time. I believe it is in the 7 o'clock hour. I am hoping someone can confirm this.
Dan Diego 40 Posted April 22, 2014 I think the BP put in the motorcycle gate in due to the fences being damaged (cut, bent) from bikes exiting either side and finding they've been locked in.
ADV Bum 205 Posted April 22, 2014 Are you guys sure it is not for horses?
dirt dame 561 Posted April 22, 2014 Are you guys sure it is not for horses? Usually that's what the little side gates are for, but they have a bar aross the bottom about a foot off the ground.
Dan Diego 40 Posted April 25, 2014 I'm thinking it's the new "USBP Memorial SDAR Gate" (brought to you by the fine folks at Homeland Security and AMA...)
