PastaPilot 17 Posted March 20, 2012 This is a twin 550 right? 450. Dakar limited the twins to 450cc or less a few years before making all the pro bikes 450s.
daijones 0 Posted March 21, 2012 There are some sweet bikes there, great to see. Can you imagine riding a Vespa through the dunes of the Sahara? I couldn't imagine riding a Vespa anywhere let alone through the dunes of the Sahara, nor riding many of the other bikes in dunes to be honest, that guy that rode the Bultaco Frontera 370 in 2011 must be totally crazy. SteelRain 0 Posted March 21, 2012 ...I couldn't imagine riding a Vespa anywhere... Scooters are like fat chicks, they are fun to ride until your friends find out. Funny story though, I have a family member that has a collection of old scooters, a few years back the SD Auto museum asked him to supply a few for an exhibit. I got to ride a 50+ year old scooter from Point Loma to the museum in a massive group of well over 300 scooters. I enjoyed it. Back on point: Scootering the Dakar would be the most EPIC ride ever! Back on point: Scootering the Dakar would be the most EPIC ride ever! I caught myself halfway through telling that joke to a friend of mine that was engaged to a fat chick. Back to your point: Could I talk you into scootering the B to V?
