Maniac 0 Posted October 4, 2011 I have ridden in a lot of cool places, but that just earned it's place among my favorites! It was amazing! Thanks everyone for making it so fun. I don't have any pics since my camera broke, though I promise I will buy a new camera for the next one. I know Tim got some nice shots.

kkug 147 Posted October 4, 2011 When I worked for San Diego Pre Cast I made the molds for these signs. Every time I go by I stop and christen them. Glad to see that they have never succumbed to vandalism. Awesome pictures-I have spent some time their and recognize a lot of the same scenery. Did you go hiking up the trail that has the rings embeded in the rock ? ( the Hole in the Rock trail )
Goofy Footer 539 Posted October 4, 2011 Much to say so I'll let the pictures speak... thanks for a great weekend! Day One I got into camp after dark, slept in the bed of my truck under the stars and awoke to this... On the road, Maniac and DSfox After blazing down the open road nearly redlining it, I got humbled by a 25 watt fuse... luckily DSfox had a spare 20. I kickstarted it the rest of the day in hopes to save the fuse. I had a box of 60 fuses in my truck, doesn't do me much good on the trail! Dr. J doing a unique pose in front of a unique rock. Breaching humpback whale? Rodent head? What do you guys think? Many miles of this OX Ranch Nice gal, not so nice guy, nice guy Best looking guy I know While sleeping under the stars I awoke to sprinkles hitting my face and THIS all around me... More to come tomorrow

pyro 1 Posted October 4, 2011 Great stuff ya'll ! And you even got a lightning storm at night? Did it rain enough to prime up the dirt?
Ace100 0 Posted October 4, 2011 What a fun ride! Here's some of my day 2 shots: -Beale
Goofy Footer 539 Posted October 4, 2011 Great pictures Beale, you're quick with the slr! I think when my pictures get compressed onto the site they blur out some. I'll need to figure a way around that. Both your and dsfox's pictures present so much crisper on the site. Pyro, 360 degree lightning storm around our camp but only a few drops. Not enough to prime the dirt but enough to get me to seek shelter in the toy hauler. Once your sleeping bag is wet you're *******. Day Two Part A Ace100 chrased the party and fjrider was up and running. Some seriously fun sections and lots of views. dsfox, Maniac and fjrider I don't think anybody has the military diesel KLR in our group... then what's that noise?? Ohhhh I'm quite happy I got new tires for this trip: MT21 rear and MT18 front. Kelso Dunes in the distance Dr J thinking he's a regular ol Johnny Campbell on the "8 Miles of Whoops" I think it may be time to send the DRZ in for a suspension refresh! the KooooooooooooG!!! Maniac, I saved a serious picture where I'm not jumping in front of you fyi My new campaign poster... right! Lava everywhere He's not to angelic in real life Ace100 More to come... including the killer cave pictures!
Guest Crusty Posted October 4, 2011 Thank's for the pics. I rode that last year with the BAD BOYS from BANNED CR 500 RIDERS. It was all a blurr.

Goofy Footer 539 Posted October 4, 2011 Day 2 Part B I guess you have to click on my pictures for them to expand and not be blurry. None of these are photoshopped or increased contrast/brightness levels. I cropped a few cause I only have so much zoom on the little camera. Enjoy! dsfox and Maniac inside the lava caves hopefully these don't come out blurry more awesomeness the contrast between lava rock and green plants is great Ace100 fjrider Maniac looping home view from a small rise home this should bring some laughs to everybody on the ride... Day 3 coming up!
Goofy Footer 539 Posted October 4, 2011 Day 3 Starting out, dsfox and Maniac Maniac Approaching the spring Hiking to the spring dsfox and Maniac great camping here exploring a side road this section was pretty fun and somewhat overgrown... Maniac and dsfox taking it in at the campground ride back to san diego Thats all I have folks, thanks again to everybody who made this trip happen.

TrophyHunter 15 Posted October 4, 2011 Good stuff! We passed on the Lava Tube visit while enroute to Vegas due to the traffic buildup (we didn't want to fight ALL of the Friday folks). Looks like a great time.
wonderwoman 0 Posted October 5, 2011 Thanks for sharing all of the great photos! Deb, I'm glad to see you with a new back tire! How did that steering stabilizer work for you? and how is that shoulder? Looks like a fun place to ride, I especially like the sculptural rock formations.
