racerbill 0 Posted February 11, 2010 I got the GoPro HD for christmas and have used it about 5 times. I love this thing, I recorded some mountain biking we did in Sedona, and chasing some buddies up the Kernan. Both videos are amazing in their clarity and sound. zracing 0 Posted February 11, 2010 I am looking at possibly buying a go pro camera . Does anyone use one or know anything about them. ? I recently got the gopro wide camera and have only used it a couple times. So far I am very happy with it. In my opinion, here are some of the +/-: Good: Price-compared to many helmet cams out there this was less $$. Easy to use-press button and ride! 4gb SD card campatible Runs on standard AAA sized batteries-Lithium rechargeable are a MUST. Factor that into the price. Bad: Burns batteries in video mode-opposed to snap picture every 2 sec mode. No lcd monitor to see pics vids just taken. Difficult to tell if if it actually on or not-blinking red light no always visible. Just a couple observations of the gopro wide so far. If anyone has anything to add please do as this is still a bit new to me. Here is the vid I posted in the duffyland write up to give you an idea of how it looks: http://s154.photobucket.com/albums/s272/zr...uffylandVid.flv

rexr 0 Posted February 11, 2010 I have the Go Pro Wide and like it but agree about it eating batteries. Get at least 3 sets of batteries and cards as you will only get an hour out of a set if shooting video. Here is a video at an indoor kart track. Here is a video of a dual sport ride. motorcyclenut 0 Posted February 11, 2010 You can download a firmware upgrade that allows you to use 4GB cards which is good for almost 2 hours. I did it and it is very easy to do. Go to the gopro website. I agree about the batteries. The rechargeable Energizers they recommend suck, lasting less than an hour. The Energizer Lithium last about 3 hours with me. I got my gopro for 138 shipped, as posted by someone earlier in December about a deal going on in Texas at AFM something. I am happy with mine. I will also try the Lithium batteries to see how they work as I have been using the rechargeable ones.
poboyblues 0 Posted February 13, 2010 PoBoyBlues got one for Xmas and loves it. It shoots some cool video. I need one. I got it for my birthday, back in July. It is a good camera. Only thing is, I've switched helmets and need some more of that 3M super duper tape to mount the mount! I'll go to their website and investigate further. I got some of that super duper 3M stuff at Pep Boys a while back. Don't know if they still have it, but if there's one near you, it's probably worth a peeky-see. dstss 28 Posted February 17, 2010 The posted videos with the non HD version are pretty impressive. I gave away my last helmet cam when I never could get a good video out of it. I'm gonna have to get one of these just as soon as I sell my wife's quad.
