Lucky to be the only guy with a GPS when 10 skilled riders show up. With a show of "I know exactly where we are," air we were off. Ten is a big number, but the guys handled the crowd well. Only two radios but Schwinn was a tremendous help riding Sweep most of the day. Not to mention Lunch and cold water. Thanks Buddy!

We were lucky with the exploration of the area south of Borrego Sink W starting at the San Gregorio Marker. Fun quad trail that Connects to established roads looping counter clockwise back to BSW.

Per usual, I had difficulty staying on track ( not using a track ) heading north to the dump and Inspiration Wash. Sorry gents, what was that three U-Turns?? A real workout navigating the sandy creekbeds and washes. We only lost our tail once. The sweep collected them and we rested at Inspiration Point.

We lost one DRZ after West Truckhaven due to electrical issues. Did you make it all the way back to Temecula?

By the way, we had two riders Pyro out to the trailhead. Your are better ( or is it younger ) men than I.

Lunch with a view at Vista del Malpai, then an exercise in navigation to Calcite Mine via Short & Ella Washes, Arroyo Salado to Truckhaven.

We had a big finish down Fault Wash. There is something about the radii of those turns. Rocket and Roll baby!

I can't say too much about the skill of the riders who showed up, ready to roll. It's a secret.

Thanks gents

Thanks for an awesome day of riding Bagster! It was a great riding new trails with a great bunch of (new to me) guys. And the scenery was as good as the riding!

Additional thanks go out to Schwinn for the subs & sweep, Baron for the pre-ride cookies (hope he made it home ok) and Bushwhacker for the post-ride beer!

It was nice meeting you all. Hope to do another ride with you guys soon!

Had an Awesome day!

Got to experience sand riding which was a bit hard at first, but then started to get more comfortable as the day went and with the tips i got from the guys.

Thanks bagstr for organizing and leading, Schwinn for sweep and lunch, Bushwhacker for refreshing coke in the end and the rest of the gang for great riding company.

On the way back, I experienced how it feels getting smacked in the face by bird poop going 80 miles an hour

Here are some pics and video from the day.

We were at Calcite Mine. I was pointing at a vein of Calcite. It has a quartz like look.
