  2. Sean it was good ridin with you, You can really get on the trottle too. Sorry you had clutch issues and missed/waited for us to run Silverstone, Silverstone Canyon was a blast, one of my favorite's. Thats 2 times me and Rick have meant to do Canyon Sin Nombre and have not, Arghhhhh.. next time. After lookin at the map it might have been a toss up which way back to the truck was shorter, it was best that we stayed together.

    Finding Cannon Ball's Trail

Don Nice bike, Sounds very interesting. We lived just up the street from you. Last name is Siebern, 2nd house from the end on Acacia Ave.
  4. Javi Myself and CVRick are thinking about going. I went down their with you, Hugo, Tree and about 8 other guys about 3 years ago it was a great ride. Maybe Laguna Hansen will have some water in it, last time it was bone dry.. What is needed to cross the border, passport or birth certificate? Are you planning on meeting a the same spot where we parked the cars on the U.S side? What time were you thinking of starting? Thanks.
  5. CV Rick and myself are going to be ridin Pinion Mtn on 12/26. We will take Pinion Mtn to Fish Creek to Split Mtn road then 78 to Buttes from there (exact route undecided) we will end up in Borrego Springs then take Culp and Jasper down to 78 and the street back to the trucks. We will be at the Pinion Mtn trail head off S-2 at around 9:00 leaving to ride by 9:30. The pace will be intermediate, plate required distance about 120 miles gas at about 90 miles should be back at the trucks around 3:00.
  6. Excellent ride, thanks for leading Bagster. Had a good time riden with everybody..
  7. I'll see ya out their at 9:00 I'm not exacty sure where the parking spot is but I know where butte road is off 78 so if I go a mile north I should be able to find you. eh..

    Red Bull Rampage

Wil I'm talking about the next picture, you are gettin some good air droppin off a ledge and you can see the starting tent up the mountain a bit. The white disk looks to be mounted on the side of the cliff. When I started racing bicycles in the mid 70's we used to get schwinn bikes and cut the frame to give more ground clearance so we could fit longer cranks from a schwinn 10 speed. Do any of the Old local guys remember racing at the Silverwing track (now Silverwing park) in Chula Vista, how about the track (Rancho) that was where Cuyamaca college is now or the track in National City where the golf course is now ? Brings back fond memories but we NEVER did anything close to what you guys are doing now..

Hey Wil,Congratulation on being invited to such an event, those are some awesome pictures. I'm going to use some as my desktop background for a while. In the picture after your start you are dropping of a ledge and you can see the start behind you what is the round white disk(right side) in the picture?
  10. Myself and CVRick may join you guys, we already had plans to go to BB on Sunday. We were thinking of starting at Crab Flats and riding the Holocomb creek trail (3N39 to 3N08 to 3N38 to 3N10 to 3N69). Do any of you know the trail #'s that you are taking?. Thanks.
  11. Bagster thanks for leading the ride, DirtDiver and FakeName it was good riding with ya. Another excellent day in the desert.
  12. I'm thinking of joining you guys on Saturday, What time do you think we'll be back at the trucks?
  13. I would like to. What time ? Thanks
  14. Thanks for leading the ride Bags, Nice meeting everybody I had a great time. Schwinn thanks for the sandwich. First time for me checking out the Badlands very nice view. The ride down culp, jasper and then grapevine was my first as well excellent trails. Looking forward to the pics from the drop. People were stopped at the top of the drop so I choose the right side and my buddy Rick followed me, a couple of those cliff faces 2' to 3' drops were a little challenging , just hold on a keep the bars straight. The weather and riding group was top noch thanks again.
  15. Myself and a another friend will meet ya all at the trail head. We'll be their at 9:00 ready to ride.
