KTMrad 508 Posted March 29, 2009 DAY 6 - Actual DAY 3 of the TAT Next day, we took our time loading up the bikes and said goodbye to Keith the cabin owner. We rode out of town just a couple of miles and found the turnoff to Cinnamon Pass.......and many more mountain passes. Today we would ride over one pass to another all day and we had no idea what we would be treated to the rest of the day. We passed another 3 riders who were doing the TAT, then stopped for some pix of this waterfall in the distance. An old, historic cabin from the 1800's.... We started going up and up........and up and up, the views kept getting better around every corner. This is a popular 4x4 route. Maddog Mike and I at the first pass of the day. Stay tuned........ KTMrad 508 Posted March 29, 2009 (Continued........) Some photos from Dennis and Mark......... Along the way, I stopped for some more photos at just one of the awesome views. Many more pix to come from this awesome day..............
KTMrad 508 Posted March 29, 2009 We eventually headed down into a valley to Animas Forks, and old mining town. I enjoy reading these plaques that tell you a little about the history..... More to come........
KTMrad 508 Posted March 30, 2009 More from the abandoned mines at Animas Forks...... Trying to get some "artsy fartsy" shots....... Maddog Mike....... I'm still working on it.........
City Slicker 0 Posted March 30, 2009 Randy, Great job. I'm really enjoying your write up. I grew up in Pueblo CO and I have travelled in these areas with my dad. He and I went over Cinnamon Pass a couple of years ago and had a great time. I'm looking forward to the rest of the story.
mctrails 38 Posted March 30, 2009 Enjoying the story and pictures, Randy. I've rode and camped in the areas around Animas the last 5-6 years. What a beautiful place, eh? Looking forward to seeing more.

And my attempt at "artsy fartsy", the old truck on the way back from the abandoned mine Thanks for making it all fresh again Randy.......keep the report/pics coming......
