Adventure Smeghead came to San Diego

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. My name is Jaro. I come from the Czech Republic and recently moved to San Diego after few year in the East Coast. I live and breath motorcycles since the year 2000. In the past (that was before having family) I did quite some traveling and visited majority of the European countries. Nowadays it's more about short rides "around the chimney".

Back in Europe I was riding a BMW F800 GS which I tuned to perfection just before being forced to sell it because I couldn't bring it over to the US.

That also motivated me to rethink my riding and I bought much lighter motorcycle - Honda CRF300L Rally. I have to say I absolutely love it, especially after all the mods I made last winter.

Check out the video HERE.

Since I am new to this area I am looking for buddies to ride with, explore and enjoy. I prefer early morning rides during weekends to be back home before lunch. I am also hoping to do some multi-day trips in the future once I settle down.

I am a huge MotoGP and Dakar fan.

Cheers and welcome Jaro.

Very nice looking CRF!

Let me know when you get out to ride on a weekend, I'll try to join up. Maybe Otay truck trail to start.

Welcome Jaro,

I'm new to ADV riding, I joined this site and have met a lot of new people and have made some good friends.  I think you'll find people here are welcoming and very helpful.  I'm sure very quickly, you'll find people to ride with.  They'll show you all the cool places...

Every so often, they have some type of NOOB (new person) event/meet up (Tech Day, NOOB Ride, Overnight camp) so you can get to know people and put a face with the name.  Hopefully, they'll have something soon.

Hi. Great info, thank you!

Otay Truck trail looks interesting. I was also looking at the High Point Truck trail near Palomar Mountain.

I'll be available for rides starting from August 17th.

It has been a while since we did a tech day , right now the shop is full with a massive project so room to host a tech day is tough but if we wanted to just have a get together and pretend it is a tech day meetup happy to host one of those as well.

Think dogs and burgers kind of a thing.
@KTMrad what do you think

Just a thought.

I've got about 15 lbs. of elk I plan to grind (last October's hunt) into burgers with some beef fat.

If it works out I can make elk burgers and bring 'em.

Guys, I just mentioned I joined the community and you are already planning a party and grinding an elk. What a warm welcome 😁

we are using you as an excuse for a long over due meetup. We generally try to hold tech days every quarter but this summer has made it harder than usual so it will be a bbq instead if hosted at my place.
