Pokey151 278 Posted July 16 last time I rode my 500 exc and 300tpi was feb/march. the 300 I run straight vp C10 and my 500 I run a mix of that with pump gas or a but of vp octain boost. I know pump gas goes bad fast and all gas goes bad sooner in plastic tanks. So would you think its ok to ride to 500 to use up the gas? I heard of 500's having engine failures with old gas but never confirmed it. I guess logically thinking, it would be wise to toss 6 gal of race gas vs risking anything. Thoughts? DSM8 399 Posted July 16 mix the older race gas with newer stuff in a 1 to 5 ratio if it does not smell like varnish should be useable just not pull potency. That way you wont waste the fuel if it is unleaded (no lead race gas) dump into your car on a mostly full tank (mine takes 37gal so your might want to use less for the desired dilution faction Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

bajadog 23 Posted July 17 I had a bad off road crash a few years back and couldn't take my fishing boat out for almost a year. A buddy of mine said to test the 50 gallons of fuel (ethanol mix) before dumping it.
