Majors - Thing Valley - Pine House Tavern

Recommended Posts

Temps were down Sunday so my brother and I got back in the saddle.  Gorgeous day.  70 degrees.  Clear skies.  Slight breeze.  Trucked out to Majors, road the dirt trail over to Hwy 80 (name of this trail???  Pine Mtn Rd???)  then to Thing Valley.  Just past the gate on Thing Valley we took a hard right to end up Cibbets Campground (name of this trail??? Fred Canyon???).  Rode east one street along the 8 then headed north on La Posta Rd, back to Thing Valley, and finished with a couple cold Alpine Duet Ipa's @ the Pine House Tavern.  GOOD TIMES.

Yes, that's Fred Canyon that takes you down to the campground and Kitchen Creek Rd.

From there a good option would have been to head west along old 80, then south on Buckman Springs, then right turn into Corral Canyon. Tons of option, but ultimately loop back to the north and come out at the Pine Valley Culdesac off Highway 8....then into town....just throwing that out as an option

Great idea.  There's also a great trail south of the Border Patrol compound.  What's the name of that trail?

Yes and at the west end of Cameron Truck Trail there is a Dual Sport friendly homeowner, he often has cold beer. Stop by.

Right behind the Border Patrol station on old highway 80, between La Posta and Kitchen Creek, just follow it to Buckman Springs Rd., turn right. !st house on Buckman on right, PM me for address or whatever.

Thing Valley, pretty sure that's where McGrath's ranch is located.

Don't know about McGrath, but somebody up there has a nice little track built.
