Check out the new African Twin CRF. 1000

Recommended Posts

Just picked up a 990. Surprised it took Honda this long to enter the market and will be glad if they do. Competition improves the bikes.

Next they will be going after the EXC.

I sure hope so but dont forget to add 40 lbs for EPA cat converters and DOT crap. Of course that stuff tends to fall off lol.

That inline twin might be a little wide.

I would consider this, I love Honda but i really really wish they would make a dual sport that would compete with the 500 exc.

I dunno...looks WAY too easy to maintain. I kinda like the Austrian way of having to remove both fuel tanks, handle bars and master link...just to check the oil!

I ride a KLR and DRZ currently, but all of the manufacturers offer some great bikes

I prefer bigger bikes for freeway riding and lighter bikes for off road, but today's bike are pretty good at everything

You won't. You may see him at the staging area then all you'll see is dust

by dipstick, I meant for the oil, not dandiego

Dipstick in the big KTMs; the smaller bikes may have sightglasses.

But the process to get into the bike (plugs, valves) isn't hyperbole...

Pfft. What's a few screws (12?) and several bolts to change an air filter?

Remember, we enjoy tinkering, and that means these bikes are a whole lotta fun!!

I have been putting of buying a new bike. Wait over, I have found it!

I have also, but after 2 long weekends on My CRf 450x I feel I have the best of both worlds,

with that and my XR 680L

This new bike will be for 2 up trips, at least that's what I am telling my wife.
