PastaPilot 17 Posted May 7, 2013 Had a great weekend. Volunteered with the Forest Service on Saturday and Stewards of the Sequoia on Sunday to do trail maintenance. There was a trials event on Sunday. Those goofy, little, motorcycles are quite maneuverable. So anyway had to ride to the trails to be cleared. Always a joy. Working with Ranger Bob, we cut 60 trees and moved many, many more. Before After However, as many trees as we cleared we didn't move all the trees. We had to leave a few obstacles to keep it interesting. All the perfect trails could get boring after awhile. I hear it is considered an honor to have been to the "Trophy Tree". PastaPilot 17 Posted May 8, 2013 Piute Mountains. According to Ranger Bob there is a trail here. In fact he's in the picture walking it out. A beer to whomever finds him first or the trail. Lots of work to do up there. , not an easy task depending on the route.... Not an easy task regardless of the route. Unless air dropped onto the mountain top. Then it's still no easy task getting down. This photo contains the Trophy Trail under all those trees and branches and is about 1/3 of the last climb up to the tree. The bike on the right side of the picture is on the trail.
