I am friends with these guys and keep up with their racing through Facebook and Joe DeRosier of Joe Hauler...Go DP Racing...

Amazing 2 days of racing. Justin Morgan kicking butt on the BajaBound CRF450x. Killed Day 1 with a 24 min lead over 2nd place. Day 2 (today) started out great as Justin was 1st off the line, lasered to Vizcaino. Started 2nd stage but ran out of gas 11 miles short of gas stop. He was literally "on the gas" but ran out. Great kid Chris Johnson riding for Tim Gomez gave him gas after Rojas blew him off. Then Justin ran out of gas literally 100 yds from stage finish - Team hauled gas to him after he pushed the bike. Justin finished day with what we think is still 1st OA, but with 19-20 min delay for gas. Great day, we hauled ass and took names. Congrats Justin!

A death today on the La Purisima to Hwy 1 section. Moto rider from Idaho t-boned by buggy. Condolonces.

Justin is ON FIRE today! Spanked everyone and made up LOTS of time from yesterday's gas issue. He and his new buddy Chris Brown (who gave him gas) have been dicing with each other. Justin is confident, has increased OA lead in 1st> WOO HOO!!! In La Paz, getting ready for final day tomorrow. Go Justin!

Of the top ten, five are Honda and five KTM.

Of the top 30, 15 are KTM and 14 Honda. One Husaberg.

Three Yamaha's, two Husaberg's and one Suzuki DRZ400 in the mix. I guess the DRZ400 is the best racebike Suzuki makes.

NORRA started as more of a vintage race (more vintage trucks run the event than bikes) but has been opening up to moto and rally guys who don't want to compete with dangerous trophy trucks in the Baja 1000.

I can see it now, you riding the RV125 in all her glory, throwback yellow jersey, open face yellow helmet, vintage goggles, white racing scarf and nothing in your tool pack except cigars and chewing tabacco (well and mayby 2 top end rebuilds to get you down the penninsula...) Heck, you run the RV125 and I'll take the TW200! I could have made the Top 5 in Yamahas (there were only 3 that ran tho...)
