dsfox 0 Posted February 4, 2013 Another great year with The usual crew: bluefin2na, bigwvjumper, maniac, tubebender & wife, snowaviation, geomoto & wife, .lin?.........this year joined by capncham & family and fjrrider, calnub, & warren...........along with some 50 other adventure biker sorts in the campground (not with our close group)... the weather was AMAZING....75 degree sunny days....low 50's at night , NO WIND....We all chip in and tommy & jonathan do an amazing spread of gourmet food for breakfast and dinner....thanks a million guys.....you're the best! This years best adventure was up over mengal pass to mansons ranch and out gohler wash to ballerat & wildrose.....the rocky climb up mengal wasn't too bad this year, and the gohler wash ledge is no more....they dumped tons of dirt on it, so it's just a loose gravel slope now...(until the rains wash it out again)...... The usual chloride cliffs/rhiolite ghost town/titus canyon loop...one of my favorties...and the closer scenic view rides around furnace creek...... The guys on big bikes did a couple of other adventure rides they can share with 100+ mile looooong pavement runs (which I choose to avoid and stick with the 40-50 mile pavement rides, the others are just not fun on the 450)..... here's some pics... dsfox 0 Posted February 4, 2013 MENGAL PASS....(of course it's steeper and longer and rockier than the pics show).....we all made it without much incident..... BARKER RANCH (where manson was apprehended)......GOHLER WASH, BALLERAT, where it was fun to meet up with tommy, carl and jessie who came around from the highway.... more to come later Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Finally bit the bullet and ordered the rally fairing for the 530 from Alberto Dottori in Italy. Hope to get it painted soon.
