Anza Borrego - Tuesday Dec. 27

Tuesday December 27, 0900 Show-Up. This is Vacation time, right?

Drive is 1.5 to 1.75 hrs from La Mesa.

75-100 miles of Two Track, Deep Sand!!, Rocks and a couple of Intermediate Drops and Climbs.

No Fuel/Food on route, It is Remote, That's the whole idea. (punctuation) Bring tubes, tools, water and snacks.

This ride takes place inside the Anza Borrego Desert State Park, which = DOT Compliance; Plate, mirror, tires.

Please park in established area and avoid plant life, dormant or otherwise. The Park Staff and public would appreciate

very much that we ride on the trails/roads and do not cut trails! Me too.

Canyon Sin Nombre, Dos Cabezas, Railway Dunes, Volcanic Hills to the south.

Arroyo Seco del Diablo, Diablo Drop, Upper Fish Creek, Olla Wash/Mud Palisades.

Approximately, 4 hrs of riding plus stops. . Radios 146.505

I should have the Christmas dishes washed up Monday, so Tuesday will work for a play date.

Undecided as to North or South route, possibly N & S?? Personally negative on the whooped out areas east of the Park.

I'm a "definite maybe" :crazy:

I'd like to take another ride on the 2-smoker before New Years weekend.....we'll see, I need to take my mother to the airport on Monday and get the Toybox, CRF230, and quad (for Kathy :wacko: ) ready for the New Years weekend roadtrip......if I can take care of all that Monday I'm in......I'll let you know......back to work Wed-Friday....want to roll home from work Friday night, hook-up and split for Stuper-Stition Mtn.....

Just threw a DOT compliant XCMH rear on The Smoker for desert/dunes season. :D

Hopefully I'll be able to make it Tuesday (I'll post up Monday night either way).

Who gived you authorization to post a picture of my bike in here, ask Kkug that is how I roll when I am heading to Baja plus the frame just in case. I am 90% in for this ride on Tuesday it all depend on how I recover from this cold that does not want to go away.

Hey I might be up for this one. What time is the meet up? If I can get me some new tires on by tomorrow maybe I'll see ya there . . Never done 'Volcanic Hills, Railroad Dunes, Sandstone Canyon Plus++' that I know of, but then again maybe I did and was just completely lost at the time . . . :o

I am a possible for this, if someone going from the Carlsbad region has trailer space for a 990. My enthusiasm for 2 hours of freeway in 40deg temps doesn't run too high.

Not sure about The Smoker's range on stock 2.9 gallon tank....thinking ~80-90 miles?.....I may ride tomorrow but I'll likely stay closer to home since I'll be down that way over New Years.....have fun!
