Is it really trespassing to ride through public roads on the reservation? I ride through Viejas all the time. I guess should email the tribe and see. I would wager if its ungated they don't care as long and your not playing Dakar on there dirt roads.

Certain roads thru reservations are public roads, others are not. Viejas Grade is public. Other stuff on Viejas is not public, and just because someone rides there, doesn't mean they can't chase you off if you're there.

That one you show off the 79 is not public, you must have permission to go thru, I've tried this before, and also heard of people getting chased out of there. Indian Reservations are private land, not public.

I personally knew a bunch of trails on Barona Res that I used to ride, some were singletrack.....but they built up a bunch of new homes and the trails are pretty much gone. I never got hassled there, but if I was stopped, I could have been asked to get off their reservation.

No word yet from the Res. But.. more than indians were running folks off the res

SANTA YSABEL (CNS) - Law enforcement officers raided a gigantic marijuana growing operation just north of Santa Ysabel Tuesday, seizing 25,000 plants with an estimated street value of up to $100 million, authorities said.

The plants were removed by officers with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Narcotics Task Force, which is made up of law enforcement from around the region, said Amy Roderick of the DEA.

Sheriff's Deputy Steve Reed told 10News the grow was discovered when reports came in about water lines that should not have been in that area of the Santa Ysabel Indian Reservation.

The tribe was not involved in the marijuana grow, authorities said.

A campsite was also found, but no arrests were made, Roderick said.

The site was so remote that helicopters had to tote the torn-out plants to waiting trucks, according to broadcast reports.

X Country, I replied to your ADV thread as well. Search SDAR for the "Polar Bear Ride" from about a year ago. Thats a fun track, a guy took his 990 up there. If you can do Oriflame this should be fine. I'm interested in going up there with you sometime soon. This weekend won't work but lets talk.

The Pot Raid was like 2010 or earlier, don't you think.

The " growers" have moved on to the roofs of High Rise Condos.

Can someone with a ADVRIDER account let the guys know the ride is still on?

San Diego Adventure Route Ride and Camp

February 11th and 12th, 2012

Butterfield Ranch Resort and Campground:

14952 Great Southern Overland Stage Route

Julian, CA 92036

(760) 765-1463

Tent Camping is $20/night with a 10% discount for groups of 8 or more, circles available.

Copyright Alert! The following is the original work of H8chains, but it's sage advice and deserves to be repeated.

"Ride any bike, as long you can keep up with the rest of the group

Bike must be in good mechanical condition, properly maintained and with good tires

Bring all the essential spare parts

This is not a race, the rider in front will be responsible for the rider behind him or her. Unless it’s obvious, stop at all Ys or Ts and wait for the next rider.

Stop before and after a water crossing, big ruts, and other hazards and make sure the rider in front and behind get through safely. Warn the person behind if needed.

No Rogue Riders or Lurkers who will show up on the day of the ride and hi-jack other riders or set the riding pace!

IT WILL BE THE RIDE LEADER OF EACH GROUP WHO WILL SET UP THE PACE."

The plan:

Saturday, February 11th, 2012

9:30 AM - Meet at the Mobile Station at SR 76 and I-15
