Bagstr 288 Posted March 26, 2016 http://www.enduro21.com/index.php/ewc/668-my-ride-christophe-nambotin-2017-ktm-350-exc-f Watch out for you check book, KTM is on the move once again. PDS and a 3lb lighter front AER fork. Jimmy Lewis over at Dirt Bike Test seems pretty positive regarding a 250 SX-F Factory Edition. The idea of an air fork for use while remote travel is unsettling. Hopefully the XCWs will continue the Open Chamber units with the PDS rear. For Your Consideration - Bags
Ptkatoomer 114 Posted March 26, 2016 They talk about that fork setup not having a catastrophic failure.
hobiee 28 Posted March 26, 2016 As opposed to an oil fork failure ???? I don't see the difference ??
Ptkatoomer 114 Posted March 27, 2016 Something about this specific air fork where the unit can't go "flat" if the seals give out. That's something that can happen to all the other air forks out there.

hobiee 28 Posted March 27, 2016 That was my point, this fork cannot fail simply because it leaks air. It will react the same exact way as a failed oil fork does and mostly even better.
Bagstr 288 Posted March 27, 2016 O.K. Thanks for helping to settle my un-settled mind. I don't claim to have deep knowledge re: "Air Forks". Is it true that other air forks can fail to complete bottom, were as this AER will remain standing up?? My point with the Hydraulic system is the Spring cannot collapse even without oil. I mean these are Air Springs, correct? What da ya think? Bags
robertaccio 412 Posted March 28, 2016 nambos 2016* wec bike has a trax PDS shock and a kit cone valve"conventional" forks I hope our pedestrian/customer enduro/trail bikes continue to have "conventional" forks. all those air pump kits seem to be a pita. another thing to carry around....... http://www.procircuit.com/air-fork-pump-kits.html traditionally the wec bikes use current year models for @ the first half of the season, the new models show into the season around the 1/2 year mark, its for sure different that they field the 17, they must have it FIM homologated already. For sure the SX machinery will see all the new tech stuff first. Nambos bike is pure badass. http://www.enduro-abc.com/index.php?model=page&action=view_object&object_id=21 coming soon!!!
