Big Noob/Dude Wife Ride 6-1-14

Recommended Posts

I get to start this one because I didn't go. I'm not healed up enough for the day but couldn't resist riding up for breakfast.post-15619-0-12029100-1401639463.jpeg

Paul was right-Zoot is cuddly.(I think there was some footsie happening but I was scared to look and confirm)

Aren't we cute? Food at Janet's was good but portions are massive. Bikeslut stopped by but said something about having a broken mirror so therefore needed more fuel….??….and then left for Carl's.

What a group!! 10+ on time and everything!! Here are some parking lot pix:

Then a very informative and serious meeting:post-15619-0-03931900-1401639926.jpeg

Everyone listened intently:post-15619-0-73766400-1401639936.jpeg

In all seriousness, it's so awesome how organized y'all are! It inspires confidence.

Then last couple of preparations:post-15619-0-35704400-1401640036.jpegpost-15619-0-69834400-1401640044.jpeg

We saw the group in Fred Canyon. Everyone looked shocked when I signaled "one more rider" ... I don't know, maybe I used the wrong finger?

My plan was to take pics and then chase you down, apparently you guys went the other way this time.

Nice story, it is always nice when you can all return tired dirty with a smile and no one hurt in the group.

Paul- appropriate warning about tearing down Pine Creek- the Harley's took up the whole road, with feet extended and sliding along the ground. Hope that little wash-out didn't spook anybody

Thanks to Bob & Paul for leading a great loop. Welcome to all the new to SDAR riders and good to see folks again.

My stats

I got the drop over quickly by thunkin' it on it's side just trying to mount it. Dunno, leg over, off balance, letterrrr go. Worked though, no crashes. :dead:

Bob and s-i-l Brian. Hadn't seen Brian in 10 months since he recently got back from deployment. The 800 tiger worked well for the ride.

Great photos Ken. Thanks.

I agree-almost as good as being there.

FYI folks-I did happen to catch TH's bike drop on film, however I've taken several looks at the awesome boots he found for me and opted not to post aforementioned evidence.

But for the right price… mwah-ha-ha-ha

I don't bring my laptop home with me, so wouldn't be able to download til I get back to the office...but I habve corporate in town for two days, and jury duty tomorrow...so I gave the camera card to a well-known a respected photographer....i mean; he's not actually "well know aand respected AS A PHTOGRAPHER, per se...but; ya get my drift...my close interaction with trophy didn't look very close because I took the picture when he was still a bit away...i'm sure Paul will post up if ANY meet his needs; if not; he'll send it back to me, and I'll do it Friday or so

For the first time, I'm questioning your judgement a little. Just a tiny bit.

Miriam - post it. Maybe the look of disgust on my face will shine right thru the helmet. It's always good to laugh at one's self.

Yes - Bob posted up for some pics as we were coming up Thing Valley. I saw Bob's bike and thought..."where's Bob?" He was in a bush on the opposite of the road - where I was - with 370 pounds of gurgling DR. I thought for sure I was gonna be happy I wore shin/knee protection when I spotted him. All that athlete stuff he's done all his life paid off and he was able to dodge the mass.
