Warner Springs to Anza to Coyote CYN

Recommended Posts

Got out this beautiful Saturday for an 80 mile spin...great warm up ride ( Death Valley trip for me this week), and (baja with BMW for Craig Next week) and Dan wanted to get out before foot surgery soon. Ian joined us from his nearby home in Idyllwild...

sorry we didn't post up before,..:(/>...super busy

Thanks to Craig G, Danrider, and maniac for joining me, and a chance meeting with Johnny G at the trailhead, who joined the first leg...

We rode from Warner Springs to Anza via lost valley and cooper cienega...then down into Coyote Canyon North (Anza Borrego desert park) to visit baileys cabin.....I love that route....close to home, nice variety of scenery and terrain: ( mountains, high desert, low desert).... mostly easy route but with plenty of ruts, hills and rocks to keep it interesting...

We always say "A great ride is when you finish with no breakdowns and no injuries to riders or bikes and everyone had fun"

We also had a great lunch at the taco stand at bautista road.....I'd recommend that......."Good choice Ian !"

(my camera is in new england with my son, so I only got a few phone shots....the others have better pics....) til next time....

We decided we'd like to return for a bike camp trip near or at the cabin....Nice spot with fire ring, tables, and a cute little cabin....

.(kugs, CID, and others did that last year)

Had a great ride today, thanks Deb, It has been over ten years since the last time I had been to Coyote Canyon. Last time I made the trip it was still open and not closed at the bottom. The mexican food in Anza was the bomb.

P.S. I have pics but I cannot get them to upload, I do not know why, and I do not know how to reduce the size of the pic, any instruction would be appreciated!

Also IN for the camping. Good to get some overtime yesterday but would've rather been riding. Thx for the pics, Deb.

DANS PICS (Dan, typically easiest to copy your pics to a photo hosting site, I use photobucket.....then once they are there, you copy the "img" link for each pic and simply "paste" within your post) remind me at the dash, I can show you....

Great pics by Dan.... I love the effects...makes us look like early 1900's folks at the cabin....(except for the modern gear... rolleyes.gif/> )
