Precision Concepts Suspension

Recommended Posts

My CRF has front and rear suspension from Precision Concepts. I bought the bike with suspension already completed.

I have noticed lately that I now feel every bump and it just doesn't feel the same.........no need for getting older jokes

What experience have you had with Precision Concepts and their service of possible failure of their suspension work?

Get the fluid changed it wears out. As time goes by I've noticed that I have to change my adjusters, usually add rebound and less compression. I think it's because I'm getting older, slower and fatter or the fluid wears out. I get my suspension serviced once a year, I can feel a difference.

Yes, you need to have your boingers serviced at least every two years. Not only can the fluid get all dirty and broken down, but over time you might also lose some or all of your nitrogen pressure and it will affect how the fluid moves and the dampening piston seals against the wall of the shock.

Pro-Prept in Escondido is excellent too. He does my suspension.

It's a small one man shop. Maybe takes a little longer, but high quality work.

And he will help you set up your sag, preload, ride height etc.

I recommend him just because he has always done a good job for me.
