CALVMX Fundraiser

Recommended Posts

http://www.calvmx.net/

There isn't a whole lot of info on the website about the event. They show a BBQ and fundraiser for this Saturday. There is also a note that the track will be closed on Friday for improvements and to allow open class bikes. Modern bikes will be permitted on the track this weekend.

Normal track hours on Saturday are 730AM-sundown.

I spoke to SocalHodaka who is planning to attend with a Hodaka or two. Julie and I are planning on going in the morning and hanging out for lunch. I'll be bringing the Ape.

I goy a few pics of the action. There wasn't many people out there but it was pretty cool to watch the old timers on their olde tyme dirtbikes. I didn't take the Ape out as hoped but I was able to get out there for about an hour and get a look at the track and help support the VMX guys. I'm hoping to go out there again soon and ride it.

A couple of Socalhodaka ripping big roost and pulling bigger air on a 100.

I also found out that it is difficult to take action shots with my crappy trail camera. There was a lot of reflection on the screen and no viewfinder made it difficult to keep the subject in the center of it all, but anyway, pics are pics and I only took 5. cheers.

Robert, The day before the fund raiser the track was closed for general maintenance and to be modified for open class and modern bikes.

Hopefully it'll be open for modern bikes whenever the track is open. I'm looking forward to going back for a few hotlaps.

This is way Marty Tripes started the 100cc Revenge. Just look at the rules here and you will see how the fun is laid out.

Check out some of the results and see a good turn out.

I think the next and last race coming up will be the largest and may have a few old pros running it. If anyone wants to check out a great vintage venue, come to Perris Raceway Saturday for the night race. www.calvmx.net
