Can't see vids yet, hope the offroad trails are "Tecate" style (read tight) and very single track. Lots of corners and loop around bushes and trees to prevent the corner cutters from turning the trails into a freeway. (My rant). Glad to have more ride zones to choose from!!!! Thanks for the post!! its on the south side of the freeway I think. Right west of the windmills. There are 2 different tracks out there run by two different people though. This on is not open yet so I don't know if they have signs or anything yet.

there is the Golden Acorn MX track on the N side of 8 just east of wind mills, yes. Its new and its all ready open for biz.

this D38 off road park is listed as S of Golden acorn casino, on the old 80 as DD said. Looks like we have 2 new places to go!!

I contacted roadrunners club to make sure non d38 members could ride and they said no problem. This will probably be the only day its free too.

I'll let you know what time I'm heading out there when I hear back from them on times that the track will open. I don't think the flyer said anything about start time.

robert, there is a video of the course up on the first link so you can check out how it looks. I'm gonna go out there at 10AM on the 4th. The 4th of July is the grand opening.

Its on the north side of the freeway guys! Go to live oak springs, cruise through the hood, go under the 8, and you will find it.

I am still under the impression that we now have 2 sites out there. The Golden Acorn MX track(which has been open 7 days a week, per phone con with GA staff) on the N side of 8 E of windmills,

and the D-38 offroad park (which will open on the 4th)??? No??.............Im soooo confused,,,,but who cares if I am not at MotoGP Laguna Seca I will be up there doin the dirt dance. Thanx R

I THINK you are right... the track being discussed by Brad is a new track NOT the Golden Acorn track ... and is on the SOUTH side of 8, in Live Oak Springs area

You all got me confused but I was at the track on the north side of the freeway yesterday and it was SWEET. Out door track was fun, they have a 2 mile single track you can follow that is very silty (reminded me of Glen Helen at the 12 hour rice last year.) 25 bucks you can ride all day long...for the most part, there was only 3 of us there!

South side will be the roadrunners club D38 track. D38 races will be held at this track. I am going to go to this one on the 4th of july for the practice session and ribbon cutting ceremony, I'll get there at 10AM. They are doing rotating 20minute practice sessions by skill level all day.

It'll be good to get back to the Live Oaks Springs track again. If you are wondering what I mean by "again", it's that this track isn't the first one out there. I remember riding a couple of races in the summer of 1975 at the AMA district 38 track at Live Oak Springs. It was very sandy and they really soaked it with the water truck.

Here's a trio of pictures of me riding that track 34 years ago. Anybody else remember the track?

PS I finally saw the video, not so much a tecate training zone, but it looks like a fun loop. Just wish it had a more curvy nature.
