Yeti 0 Posted February 9, 2009 Went out to Ocotillo Wells with my friend Dave to ride today and had one of my best days riding ever. Everything was perfect. Perfect weather, perfect conditions, new areas ridden, almost no one else riding and a cold beer back at the truck!! Driving out, the day didn't look too promising though: But it soon looked better. Are those blue skies I see??: Here's Dave out in BFE on his KTM 300: Found this cool little area with some fun little jumps to mess around on. The BRP jumps ok as long as you don't ask it to go too high. Dave about to launch: Then we found this hill climb that looked really fun but that really narrowed at the top. We called it The Needle. Doesn't look so high in the picture but it was: Looks higher and steeper from up here. See my wee bike there next to Dave?: Here's Davey!! If I knew how to imbed this I would, but here's a link to a video of Dave doing The Needle: Just another view from waaaay up high: Oh, and remember that beer at the end of the ride I mentioned?? Overall a great day. Yesterday's rains made some sandy areas we'd never usually be able to ride a real blast! We also rode parts of the park that we've never explored before whihc was really cool. Can't wait to look at the GPS tracks to see where the heck we were!! And to think, I almost bailed at the last minute since my stomach was all upset from eating to damn much food last night.
