Saturday, July 18th Diego to Desert ride.

Recommended Posts

Looking to meet up with the old gang and some new riders to hit the desert from San Diego. Doesn't matter where the destination loops back, as long as we hit some desert. Anywhere from a couple of hundred miles up to four hundred if we do Glamis (Slaugo 400) and back.

It's an open loop to accommodate as many desert rats as we can get. Big bike friendly.

The usual well prepared bike, tools and water, and an adventure minded rider. Post up if interested.

Hopefully many KLR riders will join.

Eric

Scott, welcome back! How's Texas treating you?

Really hope I can make the ride. Can't commit just yet. Work schedule has been busy and fluid.

Charlie my man! Thanks Mang! Texas sucks as always. Just trying to make the most of the limited riding :(

Totally understand if you can't make the ride. But you better. :)

I'm heading out to see the kids and my sister. But a good ol ride, beats a dressed up walk with ol friends!

Ain't nothing but a G thang. Here's my buddy Jessie's vid of us out at the Kermit Sand Dunes beating the heat. We have to ride 430 miles just to get here. But it's well worth it :) he's on his Tiger800XC

Maybe ride out toward the desert a bit. I'll lurk for the start place and time.

Sounds good. We still don't have a flight plan set. Suggestions are welcome.

How does Ramona to black cyn road to Mesa grande to Jullian, top off for fue,l then banner to the bottom of the hill up that one California trail to Chariot cyn to Oro flamme to S2 to Canyon SIn Nombre past the caves on arroyo tapiado to arroyo seca del diablo to diablo drop off to Fish creek to sandstone cyn back to fish creek up to OcWells to shell reef and rattlesnake ridge over to borego for fuel and food then up the 78 to grapevine to Monte then back towards Ramona sound?

I'm an early bird so O dark early is good for me, be back on our way west before the Sun opens both eyes.

Anybody have a place where I can park a 6x8 open trailer safely in Chula Vista?

I decided to get my Glamis fix on the way in to Diego :)
