Uncle Champ 116 Posted March 31, 2015 I don't know exactly what I'm asking but maybe somebody here has some experience. I just got clear ownership in my moms old house and the 30 year old add on kitchen is sinking. Last time the beams were failing under the house I used an old twist up house jack. So what I am thinking is there hydraulic jacks that could go between the ground and the beams so I could block it up again. Anybody use something like that- rental maybe? cj54x 51 Posted March 31, 2015 I have a 20 ton hydraulic jack that you are welcome to use. It's in Guatay. These things are pretty cheep at Harbor Freight. I raised my house 4 1/2" with this jack and if I ever do it again I will have at least 2 jacks before I start. Ken
Bp619 104 Posted March 31, 2015 Thats ezactly what i was doing to say just use a couple cheap bottle jacks with cribbing. wildwood 11 Posted March 31, 2015 Come on man, it's 2 feet off the ground. Some 2x6's and a small bottle jack will take care of that in a jiffy. What, did you loose my number????? I'll talk (criticize) you all the way through the operation, no worries.....
