Ocotillo Saturday 2-7 early

Recommended Posts

Tried my best to get from Ocotillo to In-Co-Pa.

Solo.

Never made it all the way, not from lack of trying.

My findings

Found lots of very soft sand.

Lots of natural road blocks - land slides - boulders.

Several species of Cactus which I had never been stuck by prior to today.

Lots of single track with no tracks but mine.

Naked men hiking and holding hands.

And other beautiful scenery.

Yes - I will try this again, next time I will start from the top and work down.

No - I wont try this ride solo again.

Spent the rest of the day exploring Ocotillo.

Amazing.

Rode from 8am till 4pm today.

I'll sleep like a baby tonight.

Kenny

awesome ride report .

im buying some land out there.so i can start a motorcycle shop out there for off road enthusiasts.

as a matter of fact .. now im wondering if that old garage is for sale ,that would be a perfect spot for a atv repair shop

i dont wanna hear you going out there alone again!

just take me with you . it gets serius quick out there ,.

but very fun !! ive done it a couple times ...

i had to go service a bike out in vista yesterday or i wulda been there.

Im down to find a trail up to in-ko-pah. Please don't try that alone again. $25k 5 acres nice. I wonder about utilities and water situation. It be cool to have a track and RV storage on the land.

id like to help seek out the trail .. im sure my 350 will handle it .

i know there are some serious boulders out there and theres a really neat trail that winds around by the freeeway and thru a mountain and over a pass.

lunch is on me if we make it all the way to the red feather from inkohpah.

i know my bike will slab back if its a one way deal.

Thats the bottom of devils canyon. Down is easier than up! You need to take mountain spring exit not inkopah. And skirt tne south side of the 8.

Spaugh, sounds like you know where to go. Would you like to lead this ride?

Yes, we need a fearless leader. Down hill is a good idea.

I made it to Moutain Spings on foot after 20 minutes of hiking. Don't think I could have made it much farther even on a trials bike.

The boulders got pretty serious.

I know where to go but can't commit to going on this ride. Don't get out riding much lately.

Here is where to start 32.679357,-116.0941592,

We did this ride 5 years ago, it was cool. My buddy josh humped his DRZ400 through all that. And Jon pastapilot rode a aprilla 550 twin.

Few years ago I saw a bunch of guys make it all the way down to the bottom.....but they were in 500 hp rock-crawlers on 48 Super Swampers.
