Hey Guys

I know its last minute, wasn't sure buddy was going to make it, but....

Heading to Big Bear tomorrow AM to get out of the heat..

Going to camp at one of the Yellow Post sites east of the Heart Bar Ranch, towards the Coon Creek Cabin..

Friend JUST picked up a 1200GS and this will be his first ride on a big bike.

The Plan:

-Leave SD around 8am (we are riding up and moto camping)

-Stop and visit buddy already camping in Idylwild, eat some breakfast

-Arrive and setup camp around Noonish

-Veg out, relax, maybe putt around a bit, BBQ some steaks

-Camp out

-Pack up and head out around 8-9am

-SUPER CHILL ride for some scenery, most likely 2N10 up behind the ski resorts, and/or 2N01 to check out the mines.

-Definitely a NEWB friendly route. We will be on BIG bikes, riding slowwwww

His brother is trucking up his new KTM and going to join us as well.

If anyone is interested, you are welcome to join. This trip is more about getting out of the heat, and camping, but will include some light riding also.

Sorry for the last minute, but i wasnt sure if i was going to make it!

Any chance I could tag along till Idyllwild? I'd split off there and ride dirt back towards home. Will check for a response in the morning.

I'm out at the dip for the district 38 race... it's hot...

If it wasn't a race weekend I'd be down for trip like this...

Have fun...

Sounds like a great ride, unfortunatly I have not got panniers for the S 10 yet. Post some pics of camp so I can live vicarously.
