TrophyHunter 15 Posted March 4, 2014 Jumping in on a Slut ride, I joined in with Brandon and Ben. Drive out was nice. 3 of us hit it for about an hour and swung back through to pick up Ben. It was about 54 when we started and 60 when we finished about noon. Mimi and Jeff were just pulling in as we were packing up. Good to see both again and Mimi had that Husky 2T fired up in no time. Bob and Ben Conditions were perfect Brandon Brandon demonstrating the most severe thing Ben has done yet. Slut approaching Adding some confidence to Ben prior to attempt Ben going Army Strong - sorry I wasn't panned back more Little bike taking a break Ben was getting used to harnessing the 450 and progressed throughout the ride. He landed hard enough on this one to pop his water bladder.
TrophyHunter 15 Posted March 4, 2014 Bob and Brandon did the vertical then came off the backside. One ranch dog - German Shepherd - joined us but his buddy kept his distance. We offered food and water since they were a distance from the ranch but he was doing fine. A great day. Thx for the ride!

bchunter 0 Posted March 4, 2014 Thanks for posting that up. Great read and awesome pics!!! This one is stellar: Looking forward to seeing more of the DRZ in action.
bikeslut 1 Posted March 4, 2014 everybody knows you can't do real dirtbiking on a DRZ! Here is what a two stroke KTM will do, though! This is Baja2015 climbing the rock here is the little DRZ on a singletrack new guy Ben on a WR450F, pretty much the best bike ever made... ONCE he gets the FI sorted out; lots of "no fault" stalls Brandon says "two thumbs up" trophy on the little DRZ Ben getting a "little bit" off the line and Brando Ben dropping in Brando running back up to do it again this conveys the steepness pretty well, I think
Ben 0 Posted March 4, 2014 AWESOME DAY! Thanks for the reminders and push I needed. The pics are great and I'm ready for another ride! I also took down a giant bush... Yea Brando was laughing his ass off. It was great to meet u guys and I look forward to meet more!
bikeslut 1 Posted March 4, 2014 Ben... you did great; pushed your limits, no injuries, and no damage (*Jeremy*) to your bike... GET that FI sorted! I suspect you are running really lean, which can be tough on an engine
TrophyHunter 15 Posted March 4, 2014 Ben - great job keepin' up with a couple old guys! Can't believe it was only day 2 on that bike for ya. And you managed to clear a cactus pile so all is well. Join up any time.
robertaccio 413 Posted March 4, 2014 as usual nice pics, that WR450 is most excellent, sounds like it just needs the basic closed course "uncork" job.
bikeslut 1 Posted March 4, 2014 Robert- exactly...he ordered the ECU, then may ask Pasta for some tuning help...
Ben 0 Posted March 5, 2014 Definitely can't wait to finish uncorking it. Thanks guys!
Baja2015 0 Posted March 5, 2014 Wow great pics Ken and Bob . I really enjoyed riding with you guys . It was one of the funner group rides. Props to Ben on the new bike and nice to meet you. Thanks Ken and Bob for the good times and looking forward for the next ride. I think everyone tested their comfort zone at least once. Untill next time Brando... robertaccio 413 Posted March 5, 2014 sorry for the hijack, WR450F looks like it has a "burnable" chip ECU no? You just use the GYTR tuner plug in device to adjust settings that Yam has charted recommended settings to use.
PastaPilot 17 Posted March 5, 2014 The stock ECU is locked. He needs the GYTR Performance ECU to do the uncorking job. We're going to meet up and use my Powertuner to fine tune it when he gets it installed.
