Honda90 0 Posted September 3, 2013 So refreshing to ride in the cool rain today. Pouring at the cul-de-sac at about 3:15. Lots of lightning, in fact two guys left as we arrived - an XR600 and a DRZ, I believe - because of the lightning. The lightning soon diminished but the rain continued all the way to the bottom of Kernan. Lots of mud and big puddles everywhere. We also saw a fire (near Thing Valley, I think), a double rainbow, and an awesome sunset. Checked out some spur roads on the way back. Back to the Cul-de-sac by dark. Great ride! Oh, and my buddy did the entire ride without a fall or a stall on his new (to him) TTR225; it was the second ride of his life. Forgot his gear, my son had to improvise a poncho from an Ikea bag. A tail pack from a camp chair bag.
FuzzyNugs 0 Posted September 3, 2013 Great pictures Phil, didn't realize it was so wet out there. Wish I was out riding.
dirt dame 561 Posted September 3, 2013 Nice. I had to settle for fishing in the rain.
Logroller 1 Posted September 3, 2013 I like the IKEA poncho and the double rainbow. Did you feel the power?
