Its a long stroked bored out 450. Slow reving tractor

carguy, there is some fix that they made in 2003 for those bikes. There is a piece on the cam gear that can come loose on the old bikes. The 2003+ part is all one piece and can't come off.

You need to either buy part 26 from a 2003+ RFS or just red locktite on part number 50.

And get part 4 from the newer bike so nothing can get in the bottom end in case you have a top end problem.

PS, don't worry, the bike is super durable, they just had the one issue. do the updates, part 50 will come loose eventually and F everything up if you don't.

I don't even think gasket. You just use yamabond on the cam cover on that bike if memory serves. You can probably remove the cam cover and red loctite it in the bike and not pay a dime.
