Went up toward Kernville again last weekend. Made the short 5 hour drive on Thursday night and camped out on the shores of Lake Isabella. No pics, it was dark.

The next day we met with another RXV rider and rode South of the lake.

The first day was about 20 miles of singletrack. It was dusty, a little rocky in places, but still some of the best I've ever been on.

We even did a little motorboating.

That night Rob got a call that his water heater was leaking and flooding his garage/office and had to head for home.

So it was up to Don and I to carry the torch. No worries we still had a great time. This time camped out at higher elevation.

My kind of trail, Bull Run.

The best in what mixed use is. Open to Bikers, motorbikers, hikers, horseriders. We would've ridden it but it was a 1000' elevation drop to the trail head and Don said it drops another 2000' before climbing back up 3000' at the other end. It'll be a fun trail in another month or so.

Don explores the mine.

The trail crossed this beautiful meadow

Later that day we came across a group of these big boys

The last day was shorter. I went out solo and rode a trail that was aptly named "Just Outstanding".

The Manzanita tunnel.

After all this, we packed it in and still made it home by 7PM Sunday night.

Thanks again Don. Looking forward to the next trip. :good: Say mid-October?
