bikeslut 1 Posted July 29, 2011 I looked at toy haulers, but couldn't justify the expense for how often I get to go out overnight... I have slept in tents, and don't mind the thin wall of security, but I don't like having to find a level soft spot... A shower is nice, but water weighs a lot! Fuel stations on board...dvd players...yada yada You can go "Schwinn Inn" or you can go "tent on a bike"....I picked something in between; too little for a lot of people and too much for some Enclosed trailer, with side door and drop ramp...top vent; thinking of adding a side window... V nose Porta potty- camp shower (bag)...two queen beds...camp stove and charcoal grill...igloo...tupperware sink...
Strega 0 Posted July 29, 2011 The Jayco Baja is what I'd want.
dirt dame 561 Posted July 29, 2011 That Jayco looks great! I had considered a tent trailer, but really wanted the solid wall feature of a hauler.
TrophyHunter 15 Posted July 30, 2011 Agreed. Looked at the Jayco. It's not the security for me....it's the desert wind, sand, dust and everything that goes with a tent. Which is why I'd go hard side. I like Captcham's A-Liner too....and it will fit in my garage.
dirt dame 561 Posted July 30, 2011 I like Captcham's A-Liner too....and it will fit in my garage. I would have loved an A Liner, but even a used one was out of my budget (if I could find one), and a new one....way out of the ball park.
Bbg.will 0 Posted July 30, 2011 I think this is the same manufacturer as the Jumping Jack.... Just a different design... Lifetime® Camping Tent Trailer
dirt dame 561 Posted July 30, 2011 I think this is the same manufacturer as the Jumping Jack.... Just a different design... Lifetime® Camping Tent Trailer Affordable, but pretty bare bones. That one is definitely just "tent on a trailer".
